I was always a bit of a dabbler. In high school, I had the opportunity to join the flute section of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. This obviously would cost my parents some money. Instead of letting them send money on me to join MYSO, I declined and decided to teach myself how to play the saxophone, spending the money on a baritone sax rental.
Fast forward about 10 years. Now a competitive cyclist, road riding and racing is not enough. I also got into cyclocross and mountain biking so of course, this means more bikes in my stable. Then I get into sailing, rock climbing, camping, gardening……and the list goes on.
Despite my taste in expensive hobbies, I am quite frugal. I value high-quality items that serve specific functions in my life, but when it comes to food and travel, I like to save money wherever I can. Not to mention, I also care about staying healthy and knowing what I’m putting in my body.
I have gone through a bit of an evolution in the last couple of years, from single adventurer and personal trainer to stepmom of 3, digital marketer, gardener, and aspiring homesteader. I believe we are always evolving as humans, so I’m keeping all of my old motivational posts and success stories on this blog. But going forward, I plan to share recipes, garden tips, money hacks, adventure stores and more. I look forward to sharing with you!
